Gold Production Ranking by Mine
Gold mine ranking identifies the largest gold producing mines (in ounces), over the last five years, and ranks them from largest to smallest. This excludes consideration of ASM gold production. The table below can easily be downloaded or exported.
The biggest gold mines in the world include: Grasberg (Indonesia), Muruntau (Uzbekistan), Nevada Gold Mines (USA), Olimpiada (Russian Federation), plus Kalgoorlie Super Pit and Boddington (Australia).
Note (1): Nevada Gold Mines (a joint venture between Barrick and Newmont) consists of multiple properties, at any particular point in time: Carlin, Cortez, Turquoise Ridge, Long Canyon, South Arturo, Twin Creeks, Goldrush and Phoenix. These properties have been variously bought, sold, consolidated and spun off over the years, making it difficult to provide a consistent year on year comparison.
Note (2): Mines with a free carry interest (FCI) are shown with either (g)ross or (n)et note showing if figures include the government portion or not.
