Precious Metals World
The table below summarises precious metals mined around the world, by continent.
The figures are relatively consistent, year on year, showing Africa as the largest gold producing continent.
Each year, either North America (mostly Mexico) or South America (largely Peru) produces the most silver.
On the other end of the scale, Europe produces the least amount of gold and Africa brings up the rear in terms of silver production, every year.
